Mapping small boats using PlanetLabs imagery for systematic conservation planning of seagrass meadows
The project develop a machine learning model for mapping boats in the coastal zone of Greece. We utilize hyperytemporal Planet imagery with proper annotated data to feed a neural network model for automation and scalability.
The results are the boat locations and the mean length per boat.
The data are used for spatial planning of ecomooring systems in overlap with spatial data on seagrass distribution.

Subtidal seagrass mapping in selected sites in Red Sea using Remote Sensing tools
The main objective of this study is utilize Remote Sensing imagery in setting the baseline areal extend of seagrass meadows at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve.
Cutting edge sensors and machine learning algorithms are used to create spatial explicit geospatial data that will allow the quantification of changes, the gain/loss and the spatial prioritization for restoration activities.
